Arts Development

GENERAL INFORMATION

Light Night Parade

Through community arts projects Artlink have worked with literally thousands of people in Hull and East Yorkshire, enabling them to design and take part in exciting projects ranging from photography, drama, dance, visual arts, creative writing, to DJing and graffiti.

Arts Development Workers Sarah Fisher and Sarah Pennington co-ordinate and project manage Artlink’s huge range of projects. Working closely with artists, community groups and schools Artlink aims to provide access to the arts for those who are unable to take advantage of existing provision due to lack of resources.

Our Arts Development Workers also act as advisors to local groups or individuals on issues around community arts and fundraising. We are always keen to hear from artists or community groups with innovative ideas or potential links or ideas for projects. We can advise groups on how to apply for funding and in some cases apply for funding for projects on their behalf. Should a group want to set up an arts project we can also suggest activities and budgets if needed and supply artists and materials to realise these enterprises.
