Toads in the community

Local community groups are being invited to support the biggest mass participation public art event Yorkshire has ever seen.

Inspired by Larkin's poems, "Toads" and ‘Toads Revisited', a myriad of one metre high toad sculptures will populate our city for ten weeks across the summer when all eyes will be on Hull. This is the chance for real people to be part of the action!

We are asking for local community groups to roll up sleeves, don aprons, sharpen pencils, crack open the paint and design and decorate their own metre high toad. Each group taking part is assisted by a local, professional artist who provides practical, artistic support to enable the people of Hull to realise their own unique designs to the highest of standards.
